Saddle Trial Policy


Saddles must be returned within 2 weeks of purchase. This allows shipping time plus 1 week to try the saddle. The customer is responsible for all shipping charges.

You MUST keep the saddle in new condition.

You may ride lightly in the saddle.

You may girth it up, but you must wrap stirrup leathers (tube socks, halter fuzzies) so as not to cause any scratching on the saddle flap,and ride in breeches, NO JEANS.

Use a clean pad.

Ride in the saddle two or three times for 15 minutes or so. This will allow the stuffing to settle somewhat. Remember with wool stuffed saddles it does take time for the wool to “settle”, so it is best for the wool stuffed saddle to fit a bit tight when new.

Please do not run the stirrups up, as this does mark the saddle. We do expect to see marks on the billets from your girth, but NO other marks on the saddle.

After you have ridden in the saddle once or twice, please call to let us know whether you are going to keep or send the saddle back. If the saddle does not fit the horse or rider, you should call 877-521-3255 before the saddle is returned in case it is necessary to ask additional questions or to have you take pictures or make measurements.

Please do not use Styrofoam peanuts for packing. Upon receipt of the saddle here at the store we will inspect the saddle.

If these conditions are not met there will be a 30% restock fee of the saddle price.
